Our first project when put into our production groups was to write and shoot a script with two different intentions. In the first, making sure we used the rule of thirds. In the second, centre framing. As a group we collectively agreed on our task being locking up

a bike with our problem being the key for the lock going missing. After establishing a rough outline of our scene we started storyboarding the centre framing version as thats what we were more familiar with. One issue we came across when storyboarding was how to show the bike key had disappeared. To this I suggested having a 'bike' labelled plastic attachment to a keyring with the metal piece missing. My suggestion was agreed and we swiftly moved onto the rule of thirds.
After a quick research to how exactly this rule worked, we began framing our shots with closer attention to the layout, only changing and adding some camera movements that were not in our previous shots. Once completed we filled out a risk assessment for our shoot and equipment and prepared for filming.
