Advice from a female director

As a both a big music and film fan, i'm very insterested in the music video process many artists utilise to promote their music. After watching Maisie Peters 'Rockstar' video I was instantly pulled in by the creative concept and filming. Upon seeing the director for it on her social media I wanted to find out more about how people make their way into this part of the industry and if it was all just working up from being a runner. Soon after sending Avesta a message she kindly talked me through her journey from uni, which originally started from a fashion degree. It was after putting her work and herself out their for film jobs they were able to get trained by other who saw potential.

This advice was really inspiring to me, especially knowing how hard and competitive the industry is. We hope to meet and talk more about film in the future over a coffee and arw very excited to see what projects are to come.
