For this visual exercise, my group and I collectively decided to document in a graffitied tunnel in 8 shots. Having frequently walked through it both during the day and night we wanted to create a contrast between the two different atmospheres; both lighting-wise, and how busy it was publicly. What I enjoyed when revisiting this area before the film was the ability to have bikes pass through changing the dynamic and interesting sounds. When I reflected at 5 pm, the space made me feel calm and intrigued due to the range of perspectives with each artwork on the bricks and the unique people that walked by.

-Creative as cactus.

The overhead strips of light were hospitalizing.

We took turns as a group to try each aspect of the filming process. Here is me in charge of catching the audio. When people were approaching the tunnel, I found lowering the mic to floor level helped catch the footsteps more efficiently.

To the right is one photo I took when reflecting at our

chosen location.

It's the only shot we considered which didn't make it due to feeling like it was taking the audience out of our tunnel journey too much. The idea of submerging our static shots between the moving Steadicam through the tunnel then also didn't suit the journey we were presenting.

The straight tunnel felt surprisingly welcoming and peaceful but bustling, especially in the daytime. Sandwiched between the harsh stairs and park I smelt the nature of trees and grass. The crunching of autumn leaves beneath people's feet echoed through the subway with the chimes of bike bells and gears spinning musically lighting the area.
