Needing a 2nd AC on their set, Holly asked if I would be available, so I stepped in on for the first shoot day on Tuesday, the 8th of April. After feeling lots of pressure and responsibilities on other sets from more demanding roles, it was nice to take a step back and observe how other crews work. Again, I came prepared with extra bits and bobs, as well as my printed paperwork (camera report sheets and shot list) on my clipboard.
Useful Docs:
Everything ran smoothly and came together in the end despite falling behind schedule at the start of the day. With more experience editing, I feel more confident this year in understanding the ins and outs of clapperboarding and what to include in camera notes so they are helpful in post-production. This day also taught me about other people's working methods, especially for ADing, as compromises and schedules had to be reorganised to ensure everything was shot on time.
